CEMENT MORTAR LINING
OF PIPES AND PIPE FITTINGS
Cement mortar lining is a method used to internally protect water transmission pipeline systems. The mortar mixture is centrifugally sprayed on to the inner surface of the steel pipe wall—and is smoothed by toweling—to produce an even homogenous finish.
Unlike epoxy linings, cement mortar lining offers chemical protection at the steel-mortar interface, resulting in enhanced protection and a longer service life. If operated correctly, cement lined pipes can remain in service for up to 100 years.
Tabteen CPT can cement mortar line pipes and fittings ranging from 3″ to 120″ in diameter. Cement mortar lining services can be offered at both the shop or site, and pipes are either lined individually on berms or after welding in situ.
