2 and 3-Layer Painting Systems
Coatings designed for external applications must be engineered to withstand a variety of environmental conditions. Factors such as climate, soil chemical composition and salt water all present formidable challenges to the performance of externally coated pipelines and structures.
Tabteen CPT works closely with our clients and their consultants to engineer 2 and 3-layer painting systems that will protect pipes, structures, vessels and tanks against corrosion related failures. Project coating work can be performed at either the shop or site and is overseen by our senior certified coating inspectors.
High Build Epoxy
HBE is a novolac epoxy coating system that is commonly used for pipeline corrosion prevention in challenging onshore and offshore conditions, and the product is compatible with operating temperatures of up to 120°C (248°F). At our shop, HBE can be applied to various diameters of steel pipe, valves and fittings. Our applicators can also apply the coating system at the project site to mainline pipelines and girth weld field joints.
Additionally, HBE can be used as holiday repair material for FBE coated piping during both rehabilitation projects and periodic turnarounds. The material offers quick curing times and once set the product has excellent impact resistance.
